'Grandma Red'
Author Cindy Call (Grandma Red) says: When I created these children’s stories I had your kids in mind. How can I say that you ask? Well, I am the mother of five children and grandmother of seventeen. I have been a story teller my whole life, and love it.
I moved to DC and Moscow Russia for two years, and that is where I started writing children’s books & young adult stories for my grandchildren. I crated characters and events I felt would keep their eyes glued to the pages.
Some of the tales found in my books are morality tales and others are just a good suspenseful scare - sure to keep you and your children interested and reading. With a moral message tucked in many of the stories, I’m giving parents an opportunity to communicate with their children. Let them discuss what they think the message is and how it makes them feel.
I had the opportunity to present many of these children’s stories at the American Embassy and the International School in Moscow Russia. These children’s books and stories were the most requested while I was there - I hope you enjoy them as much as my friends back in Russia do.
I wanted the characters in my children’s books to become so real that you quickly know and care about them or easily despise them. There are twists and turns, acts of bravery, and adventure.
You will learn unforgettable lessons from dastardly characters that make the stories come to life.
One thing I know from experience with my own children and grandchildren, kids will only read what they love and are interested in. This is what I have created in these wonderfully illustrated and wholesomely scary children and young adult books. My hope is that young readers will be spellbound and ready for the next book of Grandma Red’s chilling tales.
